But I had to take a picture of my desk because it wouldn't make much sense without it, now, would it?

Mine. Still in the first month of having that extra monitor on the left but oh my it is amazing. My neck doesn't like it, but I'm so much more productive. Console window and browser on the left and code::blocks on the right. OpenMW gets moved over to the right ever time I run it so I can read output real-time and still play with large resolutions.

Total resolution is 3600x1080 if you ignore that little 1650x30 dead space at the top left. I want three now, but desk space is an issue and SLI doesn't like it when you have more than 2.

Distro is xubuntu. Pretty minimalist, but I like it. Never did get used to Unity. Never gave it a chance either though. :D

Nice Xubuntu! Have you tried having a panel on both screens? Or do you prefer it only on one?

There are issues with that. Even though my applications menu is on the right, when I click on it in span monitors mode, the menu pops up on the left. I could probably figure it out, but it's more trouble than it's worth I think. I kind of like having it on just one monitor. That way the other one is completely open to do whatever I want.
