Re: Morrowind May Modathon Month 2018
Achievements and medals  Feels like a bingo trophy ceremony with Saul Goodman in a nursing home. Jokes aside, those competition are nice initiatives to keep authors running (a tiny bit of data to bring some perspective) Subscribers: Reddit r/Morrowind: 33792 Reddit r/tes3mods: 1274 Reddit r/TES...

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0
Branch+dependencies built on macos10.13.5 today with the corresponding SDK. as per #4424 , cursor is either empty or garbage. Target of that bug is 0.45 but seems solved and merged into master 3 days ago. Other than that, it runs fine, said hello to Fargoth, wandered around but not really tested yet...

Re: help me fix this, mod doesn't work on openmw.....
OpenMW nor end-users shouldn't be asking modders to fix their mods when it should work both on Morrowind and OpenMW. Modders should feel free to point end-users to OpenMW to help us fix our shit. in the meantime, maybe put a fat bold warning in the installer to inform end users that openmw is not c...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion
Seeing a Dunmer walking the streets of Washington, D.C. gave me a very strange sensation. It's hard to describe, it's like two distinct parts of my brain, two worlds strictly sandboxed from each other in the libraries of my consciousness are colliding and meet for the first time. It is... disturbing...

Re: Windows Pre-build Script Documentation Updated
From a not-much-of-a-developer point of view, just a code lurker/tools explorer/sometimes scripter: everything went super fine from the toolchain installation to the final build on a Win10 system. Installing VS2017 is really a two clicks thing nowadays. Cloning the repo, adding 7z and CMake in my Pa...

Re: Distant objects
if this can be of any help design or inspiration-wise, there's this tool made for Skyrim (and special edition) that generates LODs based on a given load order. DynDOLOD Basically it loads all the .esp in a given load order using the xedit framework then comes two passes: 1) combine separate textures...

Re: help me fix this, mod author is hostile towards openmw.....
"hostile" like he just stated his mod was not compatible with OpenMW and doesn't intend to make an alternate version?
or "hostile" like even if someone sends him a patch file he won't update his mod page?

Re: Questions about starting development
I hope this post serves as a warning about how difficult it is to setup a working C++ development environment on Windows... I mean, this is even before someone even touches OpenMW. This was why my one (and only attempt) took so bloody long. You guys are being awesome working through all the issues ...
