[Editor] Prefabs

Pretty simple idea really. But it's an excellent time saver. Especially in the case of TES style games.


First you assemble all the objects that would commonly be used. f.ex. An exterior house shell, a door, windows, chimney and chimney smoke.

You then select them and then either via a menu item or right click menu you click create prefab.

Objects location rotation and scale are stored for recalling at a later time. Option to give the prefab a name and a possible storage location maybe.

I don't know how much work has been completed with regards to the editors render window. But I feel something like this would be a massive help and maybe a big incentive for people to use the editor (along with all the other incentives)
