Hi there,

This feels like a silly question, but I have not found the answer to this.

How can I launch Morrowind under openMW without going into the launcher?
Essentially, I have to load openMW launcher and then click play to launch morrowind. I would like to just load morrowind but under openMW.

Is this possible?

I downloaded it using flatpak on Ubuntu.

Yeah, the binary is called 'openmw'. So basically... once you have stuff setup how you like via the launcher... you can either launch it, or run openmw directly.

Be careful, Launcher will not save your settings until after you exit the application. This is done for you when you go to 'launch' OpenMW.

Thanks, for that. I tried install from apt-get and program throws an error. I installed the flatpak and was able to get the to load but I still not launch just the game.

Is there a way to launch the game using Flatpak? The PPA way seems to not work.

Look at the logs of terminal output when you run?

Also, what errors? Can't help without knowing what's wrong.

Here is my error.

The launcher loads up but the game does not when I click play. The Flatpak version runs fine.

What version of Ubuntu are you running?

I uninstalled all openMW, then updated the links with your command, and reinstalled openMW and everything works, including launching directly into the game.
