Xbox Controller on Android build

Hello! I am trying to use my Chromebook to play OpenMW with an XBox One S wireless controller, and I have all of the buttons mapped correctly in the game's controls tab. My only issue now is that when I am on a screen in the game's interface that requires hitting a button (like "OK" or "Take"), the only way I can hit the button is by using the touchscreen, which isn't ideal, considering the fact that I want to be able to connect my Chromebook to a TV on the other side of the room. Is there a setting somewhere that will allow me to map the controller's A (south) button as a screen press, or something similar? I have a Razer Kishi controller for my phone, and when I use it to play OpenMW, it is already mapped that way by default, but that I don't know how to accomplish the same thing with the XBox One S controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
