Hi,
does anyone know, from what commit OpenMW 0.48.0 rc4 is built?
I'd like to update the openSUSE package, since the current one (with 0.47.0) is broken and won't get past the menu.
I've noticed that there a few more things in the CHANGELOG shipped as part of your binary build, than there are in the parent commit of "Flip the switch on for 0.49" (19f4e58f), which I'd have otherwise used.

RC4 is irrelevant as we're up to RC5, which was this commit: https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/comm ... 8fde0d6dd2
There are more commits on the 0.48 branch, though, so there'll be at least an RC6 before the actual release happens. https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/commits/openmw-48/

Hello, can you make support for this mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mod ... posts&BH=0

With this in mind, would it be advisable to start a long campaign on RC5 or just wait for RC6? or even the full release? Last I heard almost the only thing still blocking the 0.48 release was the lack of promotional video?AnyOldName3 wrote: ↑24 Jan 2023, 19:44 There are more commits on the 0.48 branch, though, so there'll be at least an RC6 before the actual release happens. https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/commits/openmw-48/

Why do you need your OpenMW if it does not support anything?

Re: OpenMW 0.48.0
You probably don't need OpenMW then.

There are plenty of reasons to stick with Morrowind.exe with MWSE.
The mod author will need to support OpenMW's Lua as it's different than MWSE own; the reason is that both are tied closely to their engines which are drastically different.
There will come a time where a higher level API (library) will be available that can make use of both MWSE and OpenMW-Lua so that mods can use 1 thing and have it work on both.

The moder doesn't want to mess around with your OpenMW and where can I find an alternative to this mod?

Re: OpenMW 0.48.0
The fastest way (provided our API has the necessary features - it's still pretty new, so there's lots you can't do yet) would be to make it yourself. Otherwise, it's just a case of waiting for another fan of the mod to switch from the original engine to OpenMW and make a port themselves. If you do go for the first option, then there are helpful people in the #lua channel of our Discord or the #openmw-lua Matrix channel who can answer any questions you have.
