Couple of controller-related questions

So I'm using a 360 controller to play this and it's working fine (if a little clunky) up until now. Loving the game to death 
The questions are:
1 - is there a deadzone setting?
2 - Sometimes when I'm scrolling through text or whatever with the right analog it just bumps right back to the start of the current menu. Is this normal?
3 - Is there a way to set favorites with a controller in this?
