It would be really cool if you could see your torso and legs in first person, like in this mod for Skyrim: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... mods/22306

It achieves this by showing the third person torso and legs in first person, but then it keeps the first person arms.

I haven't used it myself, but this is somewhat possible using Darknu'ts 1st Person Enhanced. According to this discussion on GitLab, the mod should work out of the box on OpenMW.

It'd be really cool if we could get a working body for OpenMW VR. Maybe this mod would work okay for that, but I kind of doubt it. I haven't looked into the issue since Steam needs to fix their OpenXR runtime before I can really play OpenMW VR in earnest.

Darknut's mod is cool, but it uses the third person arms, which look kind of wonky, and it doesn't show you legs, just your torso. Still a good start.
