I tried to change data in openmw.cfg didn't work help pls (windows 10)

Can you be more specific about what you tried and what happened? This is far too vague to work with.

I tried to add data=C:/My games/Tes3/Data files in openmw.cfg
then i reinstalled the whole thing and openmw.cfg is empty now
when i did this like 3 years ago everything worked fine

Normally you just let the wizard do that for you, it guides you through to where your files are.

I did the whole config stuff just because when i choose the route in the wizard nothing happens

Are you perhaps using a nightly or are you using an official release (0.46) ?
