Hehe ok you guys, I know I've derailed this thread a lot, but let's try to keep it on topic.

I love the videos, I think they are really great, and I also enjoy reading changelogs

However, it would be better if there were no delays because of waiting for the video to be done... I'm sure many people would love to watch it even if they already started playing the new release, not everyone will start playing the very first day anyways

I also enjoy the videos. It's an entertaining way to catch up on the latest changes.

But I can also understand people wanting the latest version to be released, especially if they're holding off on starting a new game until it does. Perhaps there's a way to meet in the middle? If 0.42 is ready for release, maybe it could be quietly added to the download page for those who want it, and once the videos are ready we could do a big announcement of the release.

I don't really mind waiting, personally. It's not going to affect when 0.43 or 1.0 come out, so it makes little difference in the long term.

I didn't say it was a good idea. Of course, I didn't think it would be quite that bad.

In that case, my vote is on waiting for the videos. I'll be looking forward to them.

At this point it'd be better to skip 0.42 and wait for 0.43. Who wants to play the latest version can always get a nightly.
