Seems to be a bit pessimistic.

Breaking a motto into two sentences with a period just feels to me like something was tacked on. A motto should be pronouncable in one go. Just try to say it out loud and you will her you need to make a break. It comes across like when someone uses Comic Sans just to get an extra bit of fancyness.
