What's the state of the Mac version these days, anyway? There's been talk of possibly having to scrap it; has this changed? Will there ever be an M1 native version?

I've got a Windows PC for gaming, so transitioning OpenMW over to that from my Mac won't be the end of the world, but I sure do love being able to run it without Windows.

Does this include the latest OSGoS "3.6" branch? This fixes a few bugs. :)

We'll keep it as long as possible. State of OpenGL on these machines is in a poor state.
Known issues:
* shadows not working great
* lights (shader compatibly mode)

There will be a M1 when a OpenMW developer has a physical M1 to develop on and validate that things work. OR someone with an M1 mac wants to become a OpenMW dev... thus fulfilling the first part of this paragraph. :)

I tried the Linux RC1 build under Debian Testing. Myar Aranath, Arktwend and heavy modded Morrowind worked flawless. I created a new character and played for 10 minutes each. Good job.

I thought we'd already had RC2, and we need RC3

Nope RC1 didn't include the latest commits from the OSGoS "3.6" branch. I did now update the build env to latest for RC2.

Hi, Linux RC2 works on my laptop without problem with Morrowind and Myar Aranath. Even the awesome mod "Pursuit - OpenMW-50271-0-14-6" worked. I attacked the bandit in Seyda Neen and she followed me correctly after I left the cave and when I re-entered. That is a nice feature, I hope in the future an AI system similar like in Oblivion will be available as a mod too. Thanks.
