What spell do you recommend to light up a dungeon?

Post by eru777 »

Do you have any suggestions on spells to light up a dungeon? The torches are only good for so long.
Preferably something that stays lit and doesn't need recasting.

Well, you can always make a custom light spell with target "self". Your Illusion skill will obviously be important here.

But it sounds like what you want is an infinite light. Just make sure to stow it before you go underwater.

Thank you! However this lights the room even less than a torch. I need something stronger.

I think night eye 50 is best for dark dungeons.

I just upped the gamma a bit. That should do for now.

I always recommend Night Eye. Between 20 and 40 points should pretty much always do it, depending on the dungeon. If you ever get something like a constant 40 point Night Eye effect, the primary thing that changes is that nothing will ever be terribly dark. Think of it like really, really good low-light vision. It's an unfortunate fact about the vanilla game that light sources tend to be massively inadequate.
