Scroll Wheel and Toggle Sneak

Post by Illyduss »

I just got Openmw so I'm not sure if these are planned or not, but it would be great to add a keybinding for the mouse scroll wheel so that I could scroll through spells, or weapons for that matter, with it. I know I can hotkey spells, but this would be cool.

The other thing is just an toggle sneak option like run is bound to Caps Lock to always run and I always wished Morrowind had a toggle sneak like the later ES did.

Just my ideas and I may have more after I play for a while. I decided to try OpenMW after having just too many problems running MW via Wine and I must say that so far I dig it. I'd love to help out, but my skills are in Python and not C++.

I think toggle sneak is a planned feature, (pretty sure I saw this already in the bug tracker) but it would be a nice feature to have.

There's a mod for vanilla Morrowind that introduces Toggle Sneak if you're interested (requires MGE).

Toogle sneak is already available on OpenMW since a while.
You juste have to set the "toggle sneak" value to true in the setting.cfg file

If you mean the commit added 17 days ago, that is scheduled for 0.36 and is currently only in dev versions.

It's already a thing in the nightly builds.

If windows, uninstall old version, then install new. Settings are saved in your documents folder and will be kept.

If linux, just install.
