The Lost Features

Post by PrimordialBronze »

Hello the name is PrimordialBronze these be my suggestions. <3 the works guys.. It's so inspiring :,)

1. Make Necromancy illegal, like was supposed to be.
2. Guards will protect you even from people. If it's an assassin or lowlife your on your own, however if you attack any npc those will come to their aid.
3. Completing missing sets of armor and weapons. So you find this really cool dragonscale armor and want roll play it for the rest of the game only to find out the helm is the only other piece.
4. The secret master equipment should exist, maybe change the name to the specialist/expert like sirollus saccus (I know I botched it).
5. Muck sponge requiring a muck shovel and other like-minded scenarious. Tho this may be an unpopular one.
6. Have a few select armorers/smiths make armor for you also weapons. Now if y'all are implementing the smithing from skyrim then this is still necessary.
7. Bedrolls and huts. The details are left to y'all.
8. Increasing magicka. Instead of a hard cap with a few exceptions how about making it similar to Health slowly increaseing through lvling by %10 of End.

All of these suggestions are belong to plugins, not the engine.

2. seems to require some engine changes. That being said, I get the feeling OP didn´t quite understand what OpenMW is.

"A game engine is a software framework designed for the creation and development of video games. Developers use them to create games for consoles, mobile devices and personal computers. The core functionality typically provided by a game engine includes a rendering engine (“renderer”) for 2D or 3D graphics, a physics engine or collision detection (and collision response), sound, scripting, animation, artificial intelligence, networking, streaming, memory management, threading, localization support, scene graph, and may include video support for cinematics."

OpenMW is a game engine. Morrowind is a game. Things like secret master equipment are not part of the game engine. They´re part of the game. To change the game you need to change the game, not the game engine.

There are mods for these already, IIRC.

The good thing is that OpenMW will make these sort of mods far easier to implement.
