Hopefully they'll clean em up

This is the worst article I have seen. They just unilaterally declared that it doesnt work and implied that the project might not even finish.raevol wrote:Featured on Pocket Gamer as well: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Android/ ... sp?c=60793

Re: OpenMW featured on IGN
seems they are confusing the two-month old port of OpenMW to Android with the OpenMW project as a whole. They also seem to not have seen any wierdsexy videos, and just the "joke" bug videos. Unless they are crying tears of awesome.Tarius wrote:This is the worst article I have seen. Re: OpenMW featured on IGN
They are the worst kind of 'journalists', bloggers. They make money off of cheap shot articles they write and take all of 5 minutes to make an "informed" decision about something. No fact checking, no contacts or interviews, just full on opinion pieces. It could even be possibly damaging to our PR efforts...
however, it is PR none-the-less, and they are pushing OpenMW out to the masses. Curious people find their own information.
It would be nice if our PR team would login and leave comments, not attacking the blogger, but correcting the problems.

Re: OpenMW featured on IGN
The team should select someone to distribute official pr messages to websites. sir_herrbatka's got the usernames and passwords I compiled a couple years ago. Zedd's, the current PR distributor, hasn't been around in months so websites are at version 0.29 or older.
Reading through the article and user comments there's definitely confusion. A couple of articles said that the game will be free, which is totally inaccurate. OpenMW doesn't distribute any of bethesda's art assets. Every PR release to such websites should link to Weirdsexy's faq video and the website's faq page.
