BTW: On debian, we bumped mygui to use ogre-1.9 and also the current openmw-0.27 (retagged) to also use ogre-1.9. Everything is now in place for 0.28.0!

Are you sure you have the right encoding set in openmw.cfg?
If that doesn't fix it, we'll need more info. What is not working, screenshots, etc.

As always guys great job on the not-yet-released new release. Still waiting for 1.0 to play through MW again. Looks like it's getting closer
I imagine lot of people will be joining the forums after this major release (especially if there's a modding section being added), so this might be a good time to shout out a request for someone able to further fix the forum theme. Me and another forum user "xXShaddowTXx" were working on it a while back but with the lack of proper skills we left it bugged and unfinished. I'd also like to apologize for that
