Here's the transcript of the 0.24.0 video. Didn't know if you were going to do this yourself WeirdSexy, but it's here if you want it:

I could just package that one for now, even though the web redist installer should be able to install it.
d2dx9_43.dll
I don't know where this should come from, but it doesn't come with direct x 9 as installed from the ms website (or from a couple of old dx9 games I have lying around with an offline installer).

Out of curiosity, is anyone (a dev, perchance) having the crashing problem that's blocking release that can actually run a backtrace for Chris?

Time for new RCs? How are we doing with wrapping up the bugs?

No progress, as far as I can tell. Sound is still broken in the Windows packages.

Chris is trying to debug it but the problem is that the binaries are stripped... no debug symbols. Any way to get "Debug" builds of the windows releases?

Yes, but you need to compile all the dependencies in debug mode too...
I've done it, but for some reason it ran DISGUSTINGLY slowly.

That is normal. And since we are investigating a crash at startup, it shouldn't be a problem.

What I can say, is that it crashes on my computer, but with my build with audiere, everything is fine, so it seems to be a ffmpeg specific problem.
