Fatal error on Save

Post by Barticle »

After considerable struggle I finally got the game running well in full screen. It was all good until the first time I pressed f5 for quick save. I got a Fatal Error and the program crashed. Is there a different and better way to Save, maybe?

Please upload your crash.log file (found here in the section Configuration files and log files)

My computer just completed a global search for /home/ .config/openmw
No such file.

I saw a msg that said "crash log file saved to --" followed by the directory and file name. When I tried to find it, it wasn't there. I tried saving with the Escape menu and got the same result. There is no crashlog.

First things first:
version of openmw
your OS information

Can you try running this please?

ldd openmw | grep libosg

I have a hunch that it is perhaps your OSG version that has bugs.

ldd openmw | grep libosg
It says No such file or directory.
I am running Linux Mint 20.1
OpenMW is version 0.45.0

PROBLEM SOLVED! I downloaded and installed a different version of OpenMW. This Flatpak V 0.46.0. So far it's working perfectly. Thank you once again.
