Crouton doesn't have any support for OpenGL ES on ARM, so you'll be lucky to get even 2 FPS, which is obviously totally unplayable.

If you want hardware accelerated graphics, you'll need to boot a Linux distro from a USB stick or SD card (and do a lot of compiling).

I can give you instructions on doing this, but first, as the instructions differ between Chromebooks, I'll need the output from running this command to determine what drivers you'll need to use - you can do it from any shell in ChromeOS, the "crosh>" one is fine.
