Hi, I just downloaded this for my brother and I to play on and while mine works perfectly, his crashes on the title screen after going through the launcher. He's using windows and I can't figure why mine works completely and his is crashing on startup.

Any help is appreciated.

How did they install Morrowind? Steam, GOG, or original media?

If they installed via Steam, the data files window probably has Bloodmoon listed before Tribunal. Swap that.

He got it through GOG.

We tried loading tribunal before bloodmoon and it still crashes. It just says that openmw.exe stopped working. Vanilla works fine and he has no mods.

Found the error.
He was running the 64x version when he needed to run the 32x.

That doesn't sound right. If he was on a 32-bit OS (which he really shouldn't be these days) then the 64-bit version would have crashed immediately with an obvious error. The fact that he got as far as he did means he was using a 64-bit OS, in which case the 64-bit version of OpenMW should be faster.

How was OpenMW installed on his machine? I'm wondering if a DLL disappeared or something.
