can not display chinese words

when I start openmw with morrowind, the interface language is english and it seems display good.
then I download a chinese mod named tes3cn.esp, and activate it. but it display garbled.
is the openmw could not support chinese encoding?

I've found what certainly looks like a download for the file, but I neither speak a lick of Mandarin nor have Morrowind installed to test it, so I can't really verify that.

Thanks. From what I can gather:
  • The "mod" uses a custom executable.
  • The Chinese bitmap font is baked into the executable, so supporting it is out of the question. Fortunately, OpenMW's TTF support comes to the rescue.
  • Encoding seems to be GB18030, which is currently not supported by OpenMW.
