Since I didn't get any complains about the first iteration of navigation modes (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1895&start=20), we can assume that at least the existing mode will persist. Can we have icons for these, please?

I think that dropdown menu (combobox) with avaible options would be a little better.

I disagree. We don't have room for anything in the top or bottom panel. But the approach we currently use looks pretty much optimal anyway (plus keyboard shortcuts, once we get to adding them).

What do you want the icons to look like?

For first person I'm thinking an eye, free camera a camera, and have no idea for orbiting.

Not so sure about free camera, since the other two are also about the camera (mostly).

Of orbiting, something orbit-like maybe?
