Where are all birds going - torchbug light source bug

Since the author does not want to have anything to do with OpenMW doesn't support compatibility I thought it would be unwarranted to contact him about this issue.
The torchbug does not correctly draws from the lightsource.
Other than occasional birds getting stuck - the mod works.

They look like that in NifSkope, too, so it's not impossible that they're doing something very weird.

It's this issue, I think. Somehow the running glow map flip controller makes the vanilla engine ignore that the insects lack diffuse textures for that particular segment of their model and not replace it with white. NifSkope doesn't imitate something like this.
