On arch linux, latest stable openmw 0.41 the teleport ring of Uvirith's Legacy latest version 3.5 (available here http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/161436 ... nd-others/) is glitched. Once you get the ring, if you equip it and choose the Lower Tower travel destination (only destination available), a fade in happens but then the view goes all black as if you had gone blind. Right clicking to access menus, the map shows you are still on the same spot. The console displays the following each time you use the ring:

If subsequently I Almsivi, Divine Intervention or Recall, the view screen remains pitch black.
Having only Uvirith's Legacy latest version 3.5 in my load order, starting a new game, console-ing myself the ring (uvi_towertraveler) and equipping it exactly the same thing happens. Note however that the ring teleports you to an inner cell that is not supposed to be "activated" at the start of the game but only when the second stage of the Telvanni stronghold is complete.

That looks like a broken script. Something is trying to access character stats on a reference that is not a character.

Nothing to do with scripts. This is a regression from https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/pull/1097.

Had some free time, so switched from openmw to the openmw-git package that clones the repo, compiles and installs everything, and the "Fix attempting to access NPC stats on creatures" works.
Those are the good news. The bad news is that the patch to the physics system is seemingly doing nothing for me as I still experience enormous lag when crossing Sadrith Mora, with spikes dropping from a comfortable 30-50 fps to 4-5 fps. Dang.

Is anyone else having an issue where the player falls through the upper tower elevator platform when it rises? Going down works fine, just not going up.
