Windows 10 w/Linux Subsystem and OpenMW

I thought some of you may find it amusing that you can get OpenMW-CS and OpenMW's launcher running on Windows 10, built via the Ubuntu subsystem you can install in the latest Windows 10 version. It was able to work with my Windows-based Morrowind installation, import settings, etc. You will need Xming to run some Linux GUI apps inside Windows.

Unfortunately OpenMW itself wouldn't run, as I haven't been able to get it to create an SDL window from within the Linux subsystem.

This isn't a post to encourage development on Windows via the new Linux subsystem, though I would be curious if anyone else manages to figure out the SDL initialization issue.

Win10 recently got a Linux sub-system option. It lets you install a command-line Ubuntu system under windows. It's basically so you can run Bash and things like that. It's not really meant for GUI apps, but it looks fun to tinker with.
