I thought some of you may find it amusing that you can get OpenMW-CS and OpenMW's launcher running on Windows 10, built via the Ubuntu subsystem you can install in the latest Windows 10 version. It was able to work with my Windows-based Morrowind installation, import settings, etc. You will need Xming to run some Linux GUI apps inside Windows.
Unfortunately OpenMW itself wouldn't run, as I haven't been able to get it to create an SDL window from within the Linux subsystem.
This isn't a post to encourage development on Windows via the new Linux subsystem, though I would be curious if anyone else manages to figure out the SDL initialization issue.

Win10 recently got a Linux sub-system option. It lets you install a command-line Ubuntu system under windows. It's basically so you can run Bash and things like that. It's not really meant for GUI apps, but it looks fun to tinker with.Holgar wrote:Dear Sir,
