You are wrong. A branch for 0.45 release was created in November, while shadows were merged only three weeks ago.

I pushed OpenMW to the absolute limit with this setup, it was quite a challenge to get recordable footage because of the extremely low average framerate, but I think it turned out okay. Good job dev team.
Whoah. Great mod collection too. That bonemold armor mesh+texture, link?

So it's 0.46 then? I changed the title.

Bonemold armor:

Modlist taken from openmw.cfg:

To the best of my knowledge all the mod names are correct if you want to search for them on nexus, but some of the mods like Vurt's parasols from Vurt's Ascadian Isles mod I converted to OpenMW myself in nifskope and I use them with Remiros' Ascadian Isles trees, and there are possibly a couple from MW Modding History, not 100% sure.

Thanks for the positive reaction, was not expecting this

Had a quick romp through the Ascadian Isles with Anasthesia groundcover to see the effect. (gallery)

My God, even the tufts of grass cast shadows. But then of course they would, since there's no system in place to treat them any different. Still, this is another thing that no other Elder Scrolls game has done yet.

I'm trying to not get too hyped after only looking at the screenshots, but my first impression is that this is brilliant. Will have to see ingame though.

We should maintain a list of things that OpenMW does better than Bethesda and other mods. We should also maintain a list of things that OpenMW does worse as well, so we can work on them.

@Lysol, the same guy has an OpenMW friendly bearskin armor set.

@mrmoonshine, thanks for the modlist! I notice that it lacks both Morrowind Optimization Patch and Project Atlas. Both could help with performance. Tyddy has some hires texture atlases, or you could make them yourself with the included bat files.

Fairly big - usually each cluster of grass is its own drawable, and the number of drawables is directly correlated with the number of draw calls, and we already do far more draw calls than we'd like.
