Blight Storm Rotation

There is a fix on the table for the Blight sky transition as well as its direction. If you don't know what I'm talking about, this is how it looks (bugged) in master vs vanilla.
Now, the blight sky is intended to be flowing away from Red Mountain at all times. When the player is near this central point it leads to rather weird behavior both in vanilla Morrowind and in master as the sky attempts to follow the new direction. The question is whether OpenMW goes a step further with its fix and makes the texture translate instead of spinning around. (excuse the poor attempt to demonstrate this in Blender)
On the one hand it would look rather less silly (in my view) but on the other it's a divergence from vanilla behavior. Does anyone have an opinion on this?
