There is a weak causal link to Scrawl rage-quitting and what happened to GH... it was the discussion that followed MS's buying GitHub that caused him to rage-quite. I don't blame him considering that people were pretty much shitting all over OpenMW's lack of forward momentum due to it being multi-platform and not windows-centric. Considering that Scrawl did the lion's share of development on the graphics side, both in Ogre3D and then OSG, it's no wonder he felt and reacted the way he did.

His Linux-only fork was a really funny idea though.

scrawl DID respond by "I'll do a linux only version" though, so that guy did accomplish his mission.
If it was a troll he's now probably satisfied as all hell.

Asking Microsoft to be trustworthy is like asking a bear to shit in a toilet. I can't say that I blame Scrawl for being annoyed as long as he keeps helping with OpenMW.

There's been enough written in other threads about people's feelings towards Microsoft. I'd rather that this topic stay focused on OpenMW 0.45.0. Which is going well by the way. Currently 42 closed issues!

Yeah, you guys are really killing it! At this pace, OpenMW 1.0 will be here in no time...
