Rejoice the Linux targz packages for RC1 are finally here:
32 Bit
64 Bit
The delay was partly caused by my internet connection deciding to crap out about two weeks ago (it's still not up and running again), the gcc toolchain on my wheezy build machines showing it's age and me generally being quite busy at the moment.

Is there any update on an RC for Linux?
Unfortunately Task #3776 appears to be the one open issue on 0.43 - bundling OSG plugins in the generic Linux release.
Alternatively you can build from source.

I've marked the task as resolved after i made the necessary changes but decided to wait until i've got working packages build before closing it.

I have two big assignments due, so that's slowing me down quite a bit. Fingers crossed I can get some free time in the next few days.

Hope things start working.

That's no fun!

Good luck with your assignments, raevol.
And don't worry: Producing the videos will take some time (way too much solved issues; I hope progress will slow down again!

inb4 making a video for a few months
It's almost like making a video isn't a trivial task.

Hey, wasn't much of a problem last time when all the various dailies were working adequately, and this time I could always grab the Linux RC branch. It's mostly about the publicity anyway I'd say.
