OpenMW Nightly builds

Anything related to PR, release planning and any other non-technical idea how to move the project forward should be discussed here.

I see exactly what the problem is, the new and updated builds didn't catch the added DLLs and executables...
Going to rebuild them and make sure the necessary pieces are there this time.

Uploaded a new set of builds, these should have the missing platform DLLs as well as up-to-date VC++ redist.

Still the same links, but here they are for the new page;
32-bit
64-bit

That seems to have fixed it for me.

I found that there's a Visual C++ Redistributable Update 3 version, so that's the one I packaged in, since I'm using Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 myself.

I can't say for sure whether you've packaged the correct VS 2015 redist, as I know I have all of them installed. I can only say the Qt issue is fixed.

Both the 32 and 64-bit versions work for me now. I also have Visual Studio 2015 Update 3.

on windows 7 32bit it gives error
"-- can't start because Api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling --"

treinstall didn't obviously help and googling let to this
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226

"Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 creates a dependency on the Universal CRT when applications are built by using the Windows 10 Software Development Kit (SDK)."

installing that didn't work as my torented os didn't pass the genuine test. don't know right of the bat how to solve that but it tried to open windows update on firt install with same message about genuine check.

edit: hi again

edit2: looked around and https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/vcblog ... ersal-crt/
it seems at least that it's possibly to ship. windows 10 sdk came at update 3 in january technical rewiev for cross platform support what came accross but hopefully those all files aren't needed

Updated September 11, 2015: App-local deployment of the Universal CRT is supported. To obtain the binaries for app-local deployment, install the Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows 10. The binaries will be installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Redist\ucrt. You will need to copy all of the DLLs with your app (note that the set of DLLs are necessary is different on different versions of Windows, so you must include all of the DLLs in order for your program to run on all supported versions of Windows).
Hmm, took a quick look and I don't think packaging the ucrt would be such a problem - at least size wise.

Adding another 41 DLLs though...

Here's a package of the 32-bit DLLs, could you try extracting them into the OpenMW install to see if that helps? http://www.lysator.liu.se/~ace/x86.zip
