Mod Staging Automation

Post by bbisme »

Hello, everyone, I'm BB! I'm new to Open MW, and I've just installed version 0.46. I found, however, that the modding process was a little too manual for my tastes, so I wrote a short Python script to automate it. It's a very simple program for a very specific purpose that I coded in a couple hours, but I figured someone here might find it useful. The readme explains how the program works.

I'll probably code a GUI version that lets you quickly activate your mods, at some point.

Link is Here, I hope it helps!

So MO2 isn't a solution for you? If not, then why?

I didn't know Mod Organizer could be used with OpenMW, it never came up for me searching "Open MW modding." Though, since my script's made FOR Open MW, it might work a little better once I add more things to improve the experience.

One of our devs, AnyOldName3, is also a MO2 developer, so yes... it works with OpenMW. :)

But it is awesome that you created something specifically for OpenMW and I hope it works for others too. Perhaps its functionality could be merged into MO2?
