why must be on par.. why not betterBloopsCrusts wrote: ↑23 Apr 2020, 16:21 Hi ho. It's been about a month. I'm just popping in to renew my offer: a $500 bounty for anyone who can program in distant land and statics on par with what MGE offers, that is to say, able to see all the way from Vivec to Red Mountain at 60+ FPS. I am very enthusiastic about seeing this implemented and I invite anyone else who wants to see the same to chip in with a bounty of their own.

Yeah - MGE isn't the goal; it's the past.

Speaking of which... time for general testing for those interested:
https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/merge_requests/127
for those able to build from source... give it a spin!
Be sure to take a look at the default-settings.cfg and play around with settings and report back.

Let's see then, how my Morrowind Rebirth game fares with this branch... Hopefully, jumping between master and the PR won't vehk up the savegame.
Re: Distant Lands and OpenMW
There's no way it could, as this PR doesn't touch anything that could interfere with save data. Test away
Re: Distant Lands and OpenMW
Well, it's 33 commits behind master, so I'm kinda cautious.

Is this radial fog glitching out? https://youtu.be/PASCwuXQbag (notice the Dwemer tower disappearing, when you look straight on it)
