Try purging your 2.85 version and then installing the 2.86 version please.
I'm using the Daily PPA, good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.lysol wrote:The ppa:openmw/openmw-daily.psi29a wrote:Using the nightly or the official ppa?

What's the difference between using the Daily and Nightly PPAs?
Re: Xubuntu 16.04.2 Fatal Error Crash
When purging libbullet2.85 and then installing libbullet2.86, I can't launch openmw-launcher anymore. If I then try to apt-get openmw-launcher again, it wants to reinstall bullet 2.85 again.

Re: Xubuntu 16.04.2 Fatal Error Crash
openmw-daily right?
You'll have to wait until the next build cycle. Right now openmw is linking against old libs, the old 2.85 from Ubuntu proper. It needs to be rebuilt against 2.86
I don't have the ability to trigger a nightly. Sorry. :/

No problem! I just wanted to see if there was a problem somewhere. How often does the daily ppa rebuild?psi29a wrote:openmw-daily right?

daily... apparently around 20:00 CET from the best I can tell.
Re: Xubuntu 16.04.2 Fatal Error Crash
Looks like OpenMW just built and published, but it's still crashing. Daily ppa.

I was just about to go here to post the same thing.
And yes, bullet 2.86 gets installed this time.

Re: Xubuntu 16.04.2 Fatal Error Crash
OK, from here on I just don't know anymore. :/
I did a ppa-purge of ppa:openmw/openmw to make sure my yakkety was back to 'normal'. I then added ppa:openmw/openmw-daily, updated, apt install openmw openmw-cs. This pulled in OSG-3.4 and bullet2.86 and then ran openmw without a problem.
