Physics Bug

I think this bug may be related to https://bugs.openmw.org/issues/3355#change-15277 but i get random FPS drops mainly in balmora but it happens in other places just less frequently.

So far it's been pretty random and i've not been able to re-produce the issue on-demand, in all cases the profiler shows the physics maxing out more and more.

I noticed it happened in the same spot every time earlier today which isn't normal, i was able to make it happen on demand so i thought i'd capture it to demonstrate.

On the platform at the top of the stairs there is a specific point at which the physics goes crazy, infront of and behind of this point i get no issue and everything returns to normal.

The same point but under the platform at the bottom of the stairs, the bug does not happen when standing in the same place, it only happens at the top of the stairs.

I've noticed this too, the game stutters like crazy but if you enter no_clip it normally fixes the problem.

For me it was some NPC walking into and colliding with some WAY WAY too detailed mesh, and according to scrawl there's some bug with the 60+fps microstutter fix that's making the physics go insane. I can't wait for this to be fixed, I think its the only major thing that's dropping my frames.

I have a possible fix in mind, but I've never experienced this issue myself - can you show me one of those "way too detailed meshes" that NPCs are walking into?

There are plenty included in Morrowind Rebirth, I already deleted most of them. I'm the one who reported Bug #3265, and now it seems that the script thread is also going going nuts occasionally. My log is also full of stuff about Rise of House Telvanni Banners not playing an animation or some such crazyness.

Also I don't recall finding a very specific instance of an NPC doing it by themselves. I could replicated it with my own character however, by jumping at a Vase for instance.
