Debian has "desert island"-style software guidelines. However, I'm still interested in their specific logic behind including unace if it's not in the nonfree repository as was being implied by calling it surprising.

That isn't our problem... we make OpenMW, not distribute mods.

If someone else wants to go through the trouble, go for it. :D
