Hey guys, just wondering about this program. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12 ... w%3D&pUp=1

Are there any pros or cons of using this with openmw, or is it completely useless? Thanks

It should be fine to use on Morrowind's textures. It won't be as much help as for Skyrim because Morrowind doesn't use nearly as many large textures, but it could still reduce the textures' footprint.

As for the other parts of the program, I can't say. The pics are mostly in foreign languages so I don't know what it actually does, let alone how well it does it.

No, people do not understand textures. You cant simply decrease their size and expect a performance boost. This is in the majority of cases, but not completely all.
Textures require ram and once loaded, dont take up much more in the way of reasources. Yes, larger textures will have an impact, but, and this is important, a vast majority of textues are 1024x1024 or smaller with a few at 2048x2048 for some replacers. At these sizes, you arnt going to get any performance boost from shrinking them on all but the most dated or whimpiest of hardware in which case you probably should try using something more powerful to begin with.
One important thing to note is that transparent textures otherwise known as alphas do actually take processing power because more calculations are needed per pixel when they blend with background pixels.
