Just curious on what peoples framrates are for 0.23.
I am getting ~5fps regardless of what I do to the settings. See no obivious errors either. Doesnt matter if I am inside or outside. Seems to fluxuate between 4-6fps but mostly stays on 5 and I cant really tell why its changing. Only 3 ESMs I had on were the original and two expansions.
On a possibly related note, I saw that it loaded fort frostmoth for whatever reason(but not Mournhold if you might be thinking that) when I started in Beshara.
Yes, I am running Vista with nvidia card.
Framerate?
Re: Framerate?
Currently around 10-13 in exteriors and around 20 in interiors.
Re: Framerate?
These are really low values. In general, if you are talking about performance, it is useful to know what kind of hardware you are running OpenMW on. Otherwise we have no way of knowing if there is an actual problem or if you are trying to run OpenMW on the refurbished CPU of a toaster.

Re: Framerate?
Athlon 3200+ and nvidia geforce 7300 GT. Performance is a little better than in the case of TorbenC but i had to disable all eye candys or I will get slideshow
Re: Framerate?
with Geforce 210 and Fx-8120 performance is preety good. 60FPS interiors, 40 exteriors. So I think that's much more processor problem than graphic card (210 is nearly equal to GF7300).
If you use nvidia, try CG shaders instead of glsl. You will get great performance boost.

Re: Framerate?
CPU: AMD FX-4200 Quad Core 3.60 GHz
GPU: AMD HD Radeon 5670
VRAM: 512 MB
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS x64
Other then that, I'm using OpenGL rendering and my settings are what I would say "medium" settings.

Re: Framerate?
Does anybody know if compiz in unity disables compositing automaticly for openmw? This can be the reason behind poor performance for torbenc.
Re: Framerate?
-i7 2600k @ 4.1ghz
-HD 6950 (unlocked to 6970)
OpenGL
-interiors 40-55
-exteriors 13-22
DirectX
-Interiors 50-60 (vertical sync on)
-exteriors 22-32
Stock settings? (I don't know how to change them)

Hmm, binary I believe if you were asking me. I don't know how to check for sure though.BrotherBrick wrote:Opensource or Binary drivers?
