DaggerXL -- Modern DaggerFall
XLEngine: an engine replacement for Daggerfall (and DarkXL, Outlaws and possibly also Arena) It is currently closed sourced on win and mac, but I've talked luciusDXL personally and he has working linux binaries. When asked about making it opensource, he said will pick a license in the future when he...

Re: Move sounds into Action - Task 339
Thanks for mentioning driver (as I recently updated to 304.x series), I looked through dmesg and found this little bit: NVRM: Your system is not currently configured to drive a VGA console NVRM: on the primary VGA device. The NVIDIA Linux graphics driver NVRM: requires the use of a text-mode VGA con...

Re: Move sounds into Action - Task 339
OK, did another test on the same exact software stack (precise, config files, etc) on my laptop. It runs fine. The only differences between the two machines are the video card: the crash happens with NVidia Binary driver. My laptop has an AMD Radeon. Could it be something default related to shaders?

What is wrong with the default? (Hint, it still looks better than the options given.)sirherrbatka wrote:https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styl ... tage/demo/ ← nice one!

Re: Move sounds into Action - Task 339
Very odd. Haven't got a single crash yet. btw. to debug OpenMW make sure to run it with the --debug switch. Otherwise you run into the problems you mentioned. the '--debug' allowed me access to my gdb and here is the backtrace: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007ffff781a148...

I use the default theme... just because it is practical and to the point.
The dark fantasy theme is very kitch and does nothing to help the forums functionality and usefulness.

Re: Move sounds into Action - Task 339
Same here... I try to run it with gdb, but the openMW stays open with mouse grabbed and I cannot get focus out to run a backtrace. This is what I get: Press Q/ESC or close window to exit. Playing Music/Explore/mx_explore_4.mp3 Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007ffff781a148 i...

Re: OpenMW multicore support
Right, developers say that we don't use multiple cores yet but who cares? But we do... otherwise we wouldn't have this when running gdb: (gdb) run Starting program: /home/bbrick/workspace/OpenMW/openmw/build/openmw [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] Using host libthread_db library ...
