Re: Testing performance in linux (and workaround for load or
That can't be right. I had missing folders (mistyped) in there and they weren't removed.

Re: Testing performance in linux (and workaround for load or
Look, I don't know wyremash, I've never worked with it and I've not even seen it. I have no idea what it does and I don't care. What I am trying to do here is to coax some information out of you that might be useful for debugging. I'm not familiar with the code at all so I can only guess at what mig...

Re: Testing performance in linux (and workaround for load or
Hmmmm… Could you please do the following: 1.) Install a mod via wyremash (without any of the additional steps you'd normally take, just do it as if you had Morrowind installed, not OpenMW). 2.) Open the launcher and check whether the mod is available. Don't import the Morrowind.ini! I wanna see whet...

Re: Testing performance in linux (and workaround for load or
Your sentence structure is hard to understand. This, for example: no this was when i was trying to add mods through the config file before i tried the wyremash workaround, and i didnt need to import the morrowind.ini any more. now i do it every time Now you do what every time? Use the wyremash worka...

Re: Idea for openmw launcher load order functionality
To the topic itself: It would be nice if there was a warning if a folder pointed to by a `data=` entry was missing. I noticed that I mistyped such an entry because I saw the ESP in that folder missing and checked, but with mods only changing textures and such this would have gone unnoticed for much ...

Re: Openmw performance and testing so far
You'd make a new launcher for it. I either start these kinds of programs from the folder they're in or, if I use them often, add a launcher to the panel containing all the launchers I use regularly. The menu in XFCE unfortunately also is absurdly difficult to manipulate. You'd download a binary pack...

Re: Testing performance in linux (and workaround for load or
if you mean archives in zip or 7z or whatever, then yeah you unpack those into a folder and point the config file to those. That's exactly what I meant, although I had to unpack BSAs too for them to work (and had to compile OpenMW myself, because Debian doesn't provide bsatools). Seems I misunderst...

Re: Openmw performance and testing so far
You can also keep your Blender installation in your home directory. That's what I do with non-distribution programs. This way they don't conflict with anything in the package manager.
Add `~/.local/bin/:" to the front of your path and put your binaries into that directory, if you want to.

Re: Testing performance in linux (and workaround for load or
I am assuming you're on Linux: a) Find the file `openmw.cfg` On Linux this should be `~/config/openmw/openmw.cfg`. b) Open that file c) Scroll down until you find lines starting with `data=` d) To add a mod residing in it's own folder (I assume you know how to unpack archives) add a line below the l...

Re: Idea for openmw launcher load order functionality
it is a headache when you try multiple times and it wont stay in the config file. This sounds more like a bug than missing functionality. I never had that problem. i was not aware of the drag and drop capability in the mod list window, if that changes the load order then great, that was what i was ...
