Re: Roadmap is confusing/misleading to non-developers

Right now if I go onto OpenMw's roadmap, I will see that openmw-1.0 only has 15 issues left in it. If I didn't know better (which I hadn't until semi-recently), me, being the uninformed gamer that I am, would assume "wow! only 15 things they have to do until 1.0 will be released!". What? ...

Re: TrueType font for OpenMW

We don't need it anymore, because we can use the bitmap fonts in Morrowind itself. This is likely why people have vanished, because the need is no longer there. The latest attempt began in July 2014, long after support for the original fonts were added. See here: https://forum.openmw.org/viewtopic....

Re: Multiplayer Arena

An actual Coop mode with a PvP option would be a good way to handle this, I think. I'm pretty sure most people aren't hoping, or looking, to turn Morrowind into an MMO, it's just not what people want. What would be nice, however, is to play the game with a friend. Take a game like Saints Row, sure, ...

Re: Playthrough observations

I have to agree with raevol with regards to the moving actors issue. This happens a lot in vanilla and it's not something that should be considered a "feature" or intentional, as it clearly has some detrimental effects to extended gameplay. Silt Strider caravaners will end up falling off t...

Re: Savegame size, what are normal values?

Why so big? My saves with the vanilla .exe are only around 2.7MB for a character I've been playing for quite a while, and they seem to stay around that size.

Re: On fonts

So I've worked on this more since last week, and finished another ten characters , capital K to capital T. A few of these differ a little from the fonts I have on my computer, those being Goudy Medieval, Magic Medieval, and two variations of Magic Cards. The ones that differ are the Q and R, the H i...

Re: [editor] Blender/OpenCS integration (post 1.0)

This proposal certainly does not match my experience with MW modding. Usually the art people just drop a batch of files on us who work with the CS. There is no intersection between people working with the CS and those who are working with modeling programs. Perhaps when working in a large group dyn...

[editor] Blender/OpenCS integration (post 1.0)

So ideally, after the engine and editor go post 1.0, and a new mesh format can replace NIF, it would be really great to have some sort of integration between OpenCS and Blender. How I propose this is, OpenCS would be capable of generating some basic meshes in the world editor, things like cylinders,...

Re: On fonts

A-J are complete . On to the second row! Not sure about doing a collab, I kind of want to do this on my own so I can get comfortable with fontmaking, it's something I've been interested in a while. For instance, for my electronic music, I created my own typeface which can be seen here . I never com...
