Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update
Adding the ability to execute arbitrary code from a script is not going to happen as long as I have anything to say. Sorry, to be harsh here, but security over functionality any time. That being said the situation with OpenMW is completely different from Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim. We have access to...

Re: I made a thing! (Mod Organizer to OpenMW export)
Cool! Now maybe someone can make Mod Organizer run on Linux and I'll be all set! Or even better, probably post-1.0, integrate its functionality into the OpenMW launcher...

Re: Unable to access website main page directly
Yeah, it is definitely a large ban as I've tried to access the website not just from my personal computers, but also computers in public places. Thanks, Raevol. I hope this can get resolved. Would be sad if a full country of folks didn't download and use the software, because they are blocked. I th...

Re: MCP-like menu
I offcourse understand that, lysol. ;) What I mean is to interpret the value in human-readable speciffic unit, take damage as an example, it has a speciffic value range, like 10-20 pts, which is 2 times higher than 5-10 pts, but we don't use 100% and 200% dmg. That would be silly. I actually equipp...

Re: openMW(-OP) is on Kickstarter? Err...
The kick starter campaign is just to help cover web registration and data storage costs. The other ones are just there to irritate the "Charity Trolls" and the Nexus users who think they get to control who gets to have a donation button and who doesn't. No one ever donates money to them i...

Re: openMW(-OP) is on Kickstarter? Err...
Is this legit? I want to donate, but I read somewhere OpenMW doesn't accept money? There has been a change in policy or is just a scam? This has nothing to do with the official OpenMW project at all. And based on the other thread, the guy has no right to try to make money off this. At all. It's a m...

Re: MCP-like menu
I also approve. Even if it's replaced immediately post-1.0, it would be so incredibly nice to have this now. I'm confident it would draw more players, and with more players comes more interest, and with more interest comes more developers. I think in addition to being very nice to have, it's a valua...

Re: OpenMW Self Enchanting Formula
Incidentally, this is also the vanilla formula. Without massive fortification of Enchant skill, Int or Luck, you're generally going to fail any really powerful enchantments. It's kinda dumb. If you want to resolve this without modding the chances, you can always make a spell to fortify Enchant 100pt...

Re: Thoughts on game mechanics in Morrowind
Neloth has that stupid pad because there is no levitation in Skyrim at all. Basically, they needed levitation, but were for some silly reason adamant about not making it an available spell, so instead they made a device because game mechanics basically. The main reason they ditched levitation is be...

Re: Logic and (&&) is unsupported?
On Windows, programs always search for DLLs in their own directory first, no matter where they would usually be. A good reason for the program to be installed into Program Files, where it itself can't write to without admin privileges. That's been known to cause people absolutely nightmarish headac...
