Re: OpenMW for TES1:Arena
Uses FMOD for sound, so not really open source.

Re: What´s the point of the Example Suite?
The reason why I've been active on the template and example suite is because I want it for upgrading OpenMW's status in Debian and Ubuntu from 'contrib' to 'main'. This means being a first-class citizen, FOSS game-engine, in the eyes of millions of Debian/Ubuntu users. Why is the example suit neces...

Re: Asset copyright clarity
CC-BY-SA would stop me from adding my NPC animations, as from what I understand, my further work on it which I would use in my own game would also have to be licensed as SA. So maybe we´ll go with what JohnD is making instead? On the other hand, I can see how CC-BY-SA license makes some very good s...

Re: Anyone getting white graphical blips?
Could it be the ground textures not lining up properly? Does it occur with vanilla textures?

Re: Morrowind confessions
I never understand sentences like "the game supports the joy(stick|pad) XYZ." Joy(stick|pad)s are just a set of buttons and axis what kind of support do you need a part of connecting game actions to each? It's about menu navigation. While navigating e.g. Morrowind's inventory screen via a...

Re: Get data files from GOG setup without wine
GOG installers are created with Inno Setup, and can be extracted with innoextract (which is created by the lead dev of the Arx Libertatis project). Since innoextract is free software, it could theoretically be integrated with OpenMW's installation wizard to support installing directly from the GOG i...

Re: Delay 1.0 untill all of MWSE is implemented
Is MWSE even on the roadmap in the first place? If memory serves, previous discussions about extending the scripting language have concluded that OpenMW will eventually need feature parity with MWSE, but that compatibility with MWSE is not likely to be a goal. In other words mods that require MWSE w...

Re: Problem with Mods
Not talking about any specific mods. Whether they are packaged in BSAs or consist of loose file shouldn't matter.

Re: Problem with Mods
Not the same bug after all, then. I'm not sure if OpenMW is supposed to be able to read bmp textures or not. Either way, you'd better open a ticket on the bugtracker.

Re: Problem with Mods
Sounds like bug #3180. Check your log file to see if the problematic textures are in fact TGAs. If they are, opening them and re-saving them with a program such as GIMP should solve the problem.
