Re: Hey let's switch away from bullet to anything else (discussion)
Interesting there's talk of switching away from Bullet. A project I follow, Godot https://godotengine.org/ originally had its own 3D physics engine before switching to Bullet. It depends on what the project needs though.

[W10] Today's daily builds (5th Dec) not saving outdoors!
As per the subject line, really. The game crashes when attempting to create a save game outdoors; interiors seem unaffected. Latest daily build, Win10 64-bit. No obvious messages about this in openmw.log.

Re: Some reasonable ideas for what might be in Starfield
The guard remarks were in Oblivion ("All hail the Champion of Cyrodiil!", "You've got the eyes of a trained marksman."). Random encounters could be done in Oblivion too if you wanted, very likely not needing OBSE either. None of that was an "upgrade" in any way. Hell, M...

Re: Some reasonable ideas for what might be in Starfield
Radiant Story honestly didn't do much for me, and it felt a lot like the Radiant "AI" from Oblivion had been considerably dumbed down with Skyrim. This list sounds reasonable? We'll see.

Re: [PRE-ALPHA WIP/REL] Greylock - An OpenMW based libre game
I thought you were just creating content, but you're also modifying the engine, right? Is it necessary? Couldn't these things be scripted? (I have no experience with MW scripting). Getting into engine modification bears much more work, you know. Might be worth knowing what he needs to hack about wi...

Re: My thoughts on the design document (post 1.0)
I'd rather see a more Oblivion/Skyrim-ish syntax with some commands, so
instead of
Code: Select all
setav speed 100
setav athletics 100
Code: Select all
setattribute speed 100
setskill athletics 100

Re: Intel HD Graphics 2000 OpenMW performance on GNU/Linux
Better than what I get with a 1050Ti using the Nouveau drivers (because this machine is about as stable as a house of cards otherwise - sheesh, can my next PC actually be more stable?), where I'm lucky to get 10fps outside.
