MinGW64 complains about loss of precision
I've successfully built Debug/Rel versions using msvc-11.0. I've been trying to get to the bottom of avcodec-54.dll sometimes crashing, but I just can't get the ffmpeg-git-1eabd71 version to compile with msvc (to get a debug DLL). Later versions of ffmpeg compile ok, but I don't know whether they'll...

Re: Wiki update for Windows builds
Ok, will do. But first I would like to confirm that I got it built correctly before I update the wiki. Everything builds and runs, but some bits don't work correctly. It isn't clear if they are real issues or if I didn't select some option during the build... For example the game does not start in B...

Wiki update for Windows builds
The wiki section https://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title=Development_Environment_Setup#Libraries mentions msinttypes which apparently is needed to build FFmpeg (amongst other things, I presume). However I found that it breaks boost_1_55_0 build using msvc-11.0. (compiler freaks out with those header...

Re: Version/Build number in Launcher window
Seems to break windows build. I'm using TortoiseGit so it might be that CMake doesn't know where to find git executable. Worked around by editing CMakeLists for now.
Edit: adding %AppData%\..\Local\Programs\Git\bin to PATH (via Control Panel) fixes it

Re: Help with getting files off the GOTY disk on OSX 10.8.5
You need an environment that can execute windows programs (I don't know anything about OSX, but I suspect there would be ways to do that). You need to be able to run those programs on the disk to install Morrowind, Bloodmoon, etc. Once installed you'll see the esm files in the install directories. O...

Re: no more lurking
After almost a year of non-action, I finally got off my ar$e to (attempt to) build OpenMW. There's a weekend I won't get back. It seems not trivial to get Windows 64bit dependency libraries building. So far I got the following built, currently stuck at OpenAL (where do I get this?) and MyGUI (won't ...

Re: English news poll
I had enjoyed the weekly news posts as they are/were, including the memes. Not sure if my spelling/grammar would be much better, anyhow, and I consider myself as a native English speaker. I see enough formalities at work so I don't need any more of that while I'm on OpenMW.
