With lag you mean a longer cell load? That is possible. We skipped some possible optimisations during the refactoring. I haven't noticed any difference though. There was always a small delay on cell load. Would be interesting to have someone with a slower box to compare the performance pre- and pos...

if you can tell me how to build the packages i can build them for ubuntu lucid 32 bit and ubuntu maverick 32 + 64 bit.

Well i have good news which are also bad news ^^ As i have mentioned somewhere i used ogre 1.7.2 and bullet 2.78 to build openmw. Now I have compiled ogre 1.7.1 and bullet 2.77 and used them to compile openmw and the performance hit from the physics is a lot smaller. So i guess there is a regression...

Yes it is possible to use binaries compiled on a different machine/system as long as the versions of the needed libraries aren't too different (it's the same for windows and all other operating systems). So if Zini could compile versions of ogre, bullet and openmw that work on my system or tell me w...

I've tested on Windows XP and it has similar slowdowns they are just not as noticeable since sadly openmw seems to run a lot faster on windows in general. In Beshara i had ca 250 fps and in Vivec it still managed to get 70+ fps. Without pyhsics i had nearly 500 fps in Beshara and about 200 fps in Vi...

I don't have windows on the old laptop (it runs way to slow on it) but i can test it with win xp and win 7 on my desktop if you could compile the tests and upload the binaries.

I'm pretty sure that i don't use debug binaries atleast i didn't specify it explicitly.
