Re: Objects vibrating, issue 2737?

What framerate are you getting? (F3 in game should display fps) In terms of magnitude, is the vibration slight or obnoxious? Does it matter if you are very close (almost touching) to the object when it vibrates, at arms length, or farther? Are you seeing the vibration only when making a turn, or ca...

Re: OpenMW 0.39.0

Yeah, I sometimes wish I'd bought an Intel CPU when I got my PC three years ago, because I knew I would be playing many older, single-threaded games and I also knew I would mod them to hell, like Morrowind and Oblivion. Both were heavily CPU limited when I played them (on an FX-6300), but yeah, on ...

Re: Cell preloading

Now all that remains is a Portal-esque tweak where interior cells are brought into the worldspace using physical hacks and fourth-dimensional tweaks to ensure that they can never intercept the rest of the game in the wrong way. Okay, maybe I just kinda want to see people get stress headaches by wal...

Re: OpenMW 0.39.0

Was just re-installing windows for a mate of mine and moved him from an fx6300 to an fx8350. I've found that while they manage great with more multi-thread optimized games (most modern titles on DX11), my 2500k blows them out of the water for single threaded tasks. I think its more of a factor of ho...

Re: Cell preloading

I wouldn't call it smooth yet, 100ms delay is still a noticable dip in framerate down to 10 fps, even if it only lasts a split second. Yeah definitely, in most games I end up being absolutely anal about making sure my frametimes are a solid 8ms so i never drop from 120hz. Still though I'm impressed...

Re: Cell preloading

Even on a fast drive though, the loading wasn't instantaneous, since we still need to convert assets, upload them to the GPU, etc. So the preloader should help SSD and HDD users alike. Don't think you can get much closer to instantaneous than this: :o  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHB4wbl...

Re: iFPSClamp Equivalent?

The physics tickrate seems to be set to run at 60fps at all times in this, there's a bug about it on the bug tracker. Gives problems when the framerate is below and above 60, I can pull 120-140fps steady in OpenMW atm but the physics only update at 60 causing jittering on my 120hz monitor. You can s...

Re: OpenMW featured on Niche Gamer

I basically don't want politics anywhere near my vidya, everyone can have their own opinions and live their life their own way as long as everyone is given an equal starting point and as long as I don't have to hear about it when reading reviews about things in my hobby I'm fine with it. /rant There...
