Promoting on Nexus Mods

I was thinking that it might be a good idea for 1.0 and maybe for beta releases to publish OpenMW as if it were a "mod" on there, to increase visibility since many people only check the Top Recently Endorsed mods page. Also, we should contact Dark0ne and see if there's any way to integrate OpenMW mo...

Re: Crowdfunding (again)

I just donated 100 dollars (80 euros) to you, scrawl. I mostly lurk, but you're a secret hero of mine.

I want to be a good dev like you one day.

OGRE pre-releases

Has anyone tried to run OpenMW on the latest code for OGRE 1.10 or 2.0, even though they havent been released? If so, what were the results? Were there any special steps involved to make it run?

Github Readme

The current Github readme contains the entire huge changelog since the beginning of the project. This information is available on the wiki, and thus the Readme should simply link to the wiki.

Agree with Okulo. Alternatively, make this key adjustable in the Controls menu.

Re: Performance question

OGRE 1.10 and 2.0 should also improve performance. 2.0 should be especially dramatic. http://yosoygames.com.ar/wp/2013/12/ogre-animation-2x-3x-performance/ http://yosoygames.com.ar/wp/2013/09/threading-ogre-2-0-benchmark/ http://yosoygames.com.ar/wp/2013/07/ogre-2-0-is-up-to-3x-faster/ http://yosoyg...

Animated Morrowind crashed on load

The Animated Morrowind mod is not working. I'm using the version from the Morrowind Overhaul project. It causes OpenMW to CTD on load, with an error message that says: ESM Error: String table overflow File: (path)\Animated Morrowind.esp Record: SCPT Subrecord: SCVR Offset: 0xa38d I'm running the lat...

Re: Windows RT port?

WinRT and Windows RT are different things, confusingly. But essentially the version of Windows called Windows RT may go away, but WinRT is what all of MS's new technology is based on under the hood, and there's no plans to change that at all... the only plans involve unifying even more around WinRT ...

SourceForge Description

The description on SourceForge has some inaccuracies. OpenMW is an attempt to make a cross platform reimplementation of the game Morrowind using open source tools. It is written in C++ and uses Ogre3d for graphics, OpenAL for audio, MYGUI, OIS, and Bullet for physics. You must own Morrowind to use O...
