More modelling support is always nice, however since OpenMW already has support of .osg mesh file format native to OpenSceneGraph isn't it more effective to just use this at least until after 1.0?

AFAIK they're outdated, as they don't include that "cherry-picked" fix for certain editor crash caused due to bug in introduced key configuration feature.

It works as intended. At least it did in April, and I don't think Wine has any regressions concerning this matter.
